You Can Do Hard Things!
For some, therapy is a soft place to land; for others, finding a therapist is a daunting task. No matter where you’re at in your mental health journey, I’m happy to meet you there to create an alliance founded on trust and safety. I believe everyone is capable of navigating their own lives and I look forward to helping you tap into that intuition and resiliency. I use a compassionate approach while keeping accountability a part of the conversation to ensure the goals you identify are being met.
I work with teens, young adults, individuals, couples, and families. I am well versed in working with anxiety, depression, trauma, substance abuse, grief and loss; as well as concerns relating to relationships, boundaries, communication, self-esteem, and failure to launch. I am trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) and Post-Induction Therapy (PIT). I also utilize approaches such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Experiential and Psychodrama, Inner Child Healing and Reparenting, and Mindfulness. My goal is to come up with the best approach to meet your unique needs. Together, we will find growth!
From The River To The Rocks
I was born and raised in Houston, Texas. I moved to San Marcos where I got my bachelor’s degree from Texas State University. While I wasn’t in class or working as a teaching assistant, I spent my free time swimming in the beautiful blue San Marcos River. I made my way to Arizona to get my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health at Northern Arizona University. I recently worked at a renowned inpatient trauma and addiction center treating people with a wide variety of struggles. I’m now inspired and honored to bring my unique experiences to the people in my local community as a private practice counselor.
Outside of the office, I enjoy spending time with my partner. He and I have a dog named Watson and a cat named Siggy that we love to bits. We are both avid rock climbers so you can often find us at the crag or the rock gym. I also enjoy reading good books, playing board games, and creating embroidery art.
I look forward to moving through the weeds of life with you.
