Doing the work is not easy, but it’s certainly worth it…
I feel privileged to do this work and to be a part of your healing journey. Uncovering your most authentic self can be a bumpy ride, but it is never one you have to traverse alone. Together we will work to find your highest potential, untap the strength that already exists inside of you, and discover tools to overcome life’s toughest obstacles. I believe that the best work is done when the therapeutic relationship feels safe and genuine. I understand coming to therapy takes courage and vulnerability – I’m already proud of your strength in taking this first step!
I have experience working with children, families, adolescents, and adults in both the clinical and school setting. I am an LGBTQ+ affirming clinician and always prioritize honoring all cultural backgrounds. In my practice, I focus on identifying maladaptive patterns, examining roles within family systems, healing wounded relationships with self and others, and processing trauma. I predominantly use EMDR, Internal Family Systems, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Mindfulness. I am passionate about Social-Emotional Learning and play therapy for children and I love using Gottman methods when working with couples. Whether you are struggling with depression, anxiety, dependency, or troubled relationships – I will always come from a place of empathy and hold you in the highest regard.
Traded in My Snow Boots for Sunglasses!
I grew up in the small town of Green River, Wyoming. I had the honor of swimming division one for the University of Wyoming while getting my Elementary Education degree (GO POKES)! I taught elementary school for three years in Arizona and spent one year traveling the U.S. working for National Geographic Learning. I then decided to pursue my passion of becoming a mental health therapist by hitting the books AGAIN. In 2019, I graduated with my Masters in Counseling from ASU (GO SUN DEVILS)!
When I am not in the therapy chair, I love spending time with my wife, two cats, and our dog! I absolutely love traveling, visiting family (in Canada and Wyoming), being an auntie to my nieces and nephews, having game nights with friends, and writing.
From the bottom of my heart, I cannot wait to know you!
