About Rebekah Adams, LAC

I believe in the brain’s ability to heal itself.

Therapy is a place that allows individuals the time and space to heal through whatever struggles they are dealing with or have dealt with that are still impacting their life. As a clinician, it is my privilege to walk through that journey with my clients and provide guidance to allow the brain the opportunity to heal itself. Every individual is unique and at their own stage of their journey; I will work hard to meet every client where they’re at and connect with them on a human level to allow for a safe space to set an effective plan to meet their goals.

I work in individual counseling with all ages from pre-adolescents 10+ to teens, young adults, and adults. I have experience working with trauma, anxiety, depression, and interpersonal struggles including boundaries, communication, and building healthy relationships with those around you and yourself. I am trained in EMDR, as well as EMDR with Dissociation and Parts Work. I also utilize therapeutic modalities including Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Mindfulness. My goal will always be to approach each session with empathy, genuineness and accountability and work with you to come up with the most effective and well-suited plan to best fit your goals and needs.

Arizona Has My Heart

I lived in Arizona for a good chunk of my childhood, and also moved around quite a bit, from Nevada to Northern Arizona and Phoenix to California. Of all of the places I’ve lived, Arizona has always held my heart, which is why I came back to complete both my Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Masters in Clinical Counseling at Grand Canyon University. After graduating, I began my career at a reputable outpatient facility working with intensive outpatient groups and individual counseling sessions. Now in private practice, I am able to provide a more individualized approach which my clients truly deserve.

Outside the office, I love to have fun and go on adventures with my friends and family. I enjoy painting, reading, playing video games, and all things Disney. I don’t think having fun or enjoying whimsical and magical things should end in childhood, so I do my best to continue to find joy in all of those things! My fiancé and I also have two amazing miniature schnauzers that we love with all our hearts.

I can’t wait to join you on your expedition of self-discovery and into gaining the power to live your life to its fullest potential!
