Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) is an evidence-based treatment modality that has been shown to support people recovering from trauma and experiencing anxiety, depression, OCD, PTSD, Addictions/Substance Abuse, and more. It has been shown that using ART in therapy helps clients achieve relief and benefits at a quicker pace (within one to five sessions).
The process is very streamlined and uses calming eye movements and Voluntary Memory/Image Replacement. It can be very helpful in reprocessing particular events and helps clients shift how these stressful memories are stored and perceived in their brains. ART was developed in 2008 by Laney Rosenzweig LMFT. She had a background in EMDR and other modalities but felt by modifying, the process could be enhanced.
