How it began…
To Claire, there is no greater privilege than helping people navigate complex webs and getting to see them overcome the remarkable things that have kept them stuck. After five years of practice experience, she became determined to find a way to support client’s happiness and growth while also supporting her own. So, Claibourne Counseling was founded as a way to offer a better environment for therapists; to facilitate their ability to perform at their very best levels for their clients and for themselves.
From day one, Claire & Chas have embraced friendship and partnership, and continually work to help each other to become the best versions of themselves. As a healer within a businessman, Chas left his corporate career to become the Operations Director at Claibourne to give the therapists the extra space they need to focus on providing this necessary service.
Founded in early 2020, right at the beginning of the global pandemic, Claire & Chas have poured their heart and soul into the practice. Being able to help people navigate the waters during this new decade has been truly heartwarming for each of them. And, the importance of hosting a safe and nurturing environment for both therapists and patients to thrive has been cornerstone throughout.
Our values
At Claibourne, we highly value our support systems and have the utmost gratitude for every member of our team, our families, our clients, and our community. Learning as we grow, we sincerely embrace humility – we know we have to constantly push beyond our comfort zones. And if we begin to think we have it all figured out, we know it’s time to take a step back and reassess because there’s always more growing to do.
For far too long, there has been a stigma on therapy and we want to break those old beliefs and help form a new, positive view on mental health as a whole. It is brave, courageous, and a mark of true strength to ask for help instead of suffering in silence. It is our belief that everyone deserves quality care and we strive to deliver an honest and fair approach to treatment for everyone.
Our goal is to always reach below the surface and help where it really counts. What this means to us is that we embrace learning and stay curious and open-minded. We engage ourselves in advanced trainings to better understand trauma and its impact on the human experience.
